Tahoe Records' live recordings of Latin jazz masters such as Ray Coen, Polito Huerta, Luis Marin, and Giovanni Hidalgo in the music venues of Old San Juan afford a unique view into the past, present, and future of the exciting musical forms to emerge from the productive cauldron of Puerto Rico.
Tahoe Records' upcoming release of "A Gift From Trane" by Ghasem Batamuntu and the Nu Nova Compound is a breathtaking and profound continuation of the legacy of spiritual jazz along the lines of Coltrane and the continuing mainstream thread of afro-american avant-garde expression.
Tahoe Records will also be featuring the upcoming debut effort of the original songs of singer-songwriter Judy Murphy.
Among the other titles which Tahoe Records has produced and released are: the danceable samba, ska, reggae, zouk and salsa of the Caribbean music sensation Culebra; acoustic jazz, electronica, and fusion from Tahoe Blue; and solo work by Jefferson Braswell.
